Snake Poem

we
do
not
need
the
arch
to
extend
beyond
its ss-
nake-like
perversion,
we
need
the
arch
to
discourage
the
weak
from
succumbing
to
the
gratification
of
easy
pleasure,
from
exerting
themselves
past
the
innocence
of
the
straight
unbent
spine
.
